Jeeping in the Wild Wild West!
Posted by Becky Lou on July 31, 2010

Jeeping in the Wild Wild West! Just returned from a week in the Higher Elevations of Colorado and the Rocky Trails of Moab, Utah! Lots of pictures here______ but none can truly depict the vastness and the beauty of being there. With our good friend and seasoned Jeeper, "DanTheMan" as our guide and fearless leader, our group of 4 jeeps braved several beautiful trails in Colorado, including Hurricane, Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass, Alpine Loop, Animas Forks, Corkscrew Gulch, Black Bear Pass, Imogene Pass, Ophir Pass, with our most difficult trail being the Poughkeepsie Gulch, having to be Winched up a Steep Rocky piece of the road, but it did prove to be one of the most beautiful drives of our trip… Onto Moab, UT for a couple of days, cruising Fins & Things, Potash, Shafer and Deadhorse Point. The trails can be very SCARY and intense, but after actually driving the jeep for several miles of Black Bear and Imogene, my Fear Factor was reduced greatly! Worth every minute!! Our group went on to Hell’s Revenge & Poison Spider without us, which were EXTREMELY difficult trails, and without the proper clearance it was just not a good choice!
